Coverdale Farm Field Trip

I recently was able to go with Justin's class on their Coverdale Farm field trip.

We had a lot of fun. The first thing we got to were the piglets. They were so cute! There were a few hyper ones chasing each other. Mama pig lay calm and quiet letting the piglets run and jump all over her untill they started to tease the runt of the litter. Mama pig jumped up to scold one of her babies for teasing the runt. After the pigs we learned about what crops farmers plant that we can eat and also what they plant to help feed the animals on the farm.Justin was able to plant popcorn seeds. After planting the popcorn seeds .Justin and I were able to feed the sheep and Justin was able to pet one of the sheep. Justin enjoyed getting to touch the chicks. After that we went to the barn where the cows were. the kids were all lined up against the fence of a brown and white cow looking in. Just as they were being told that the cow was not very friendly, the cow sneezed and simultaneously each child took two steps back. (I thought it was funny):) The white cow you see in the slide show was not suppose to be laying down and the tour instructor could not get her up so the children did not get to milk her. That was a bummer. All in all we had a great time.
